After three years' significant growth, the group changed leadership. I'd like to invite you to meet our new YP Chair, Evgeniy Golovin, elected at the Siberia Section Meeting on December 22. Evgeniy is very active professionally and would like to hear from you.

Nowadays group membership has increased with the addition of post-graduate students. Most are affiliated with different professional Societies: ComSoc, MTT-S, ED-S, etc. In fact, the Group has become the largest IEEE unit in Siberia.

Our main event for 2005 is the IEEE Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON), October 21-22, 2005. We will also hold annual Student Paper Contest and Conference on the Information Security, SIBINFO. For more information about these events, please look at our Web site.

This is my last message as YP Chair. YP changed my life, it brought me many friends and a wonderful time. I appreciate very much the fruitful cooperation with each of you during my YP activity.
